Part Time

The purpose of Community Engagement is to develop relationships between the community and the individual we serve.

This can look different to each individual and this service helps the individual learn how to access resources in their community.

Examples of these goals could be attending further education, attending community classes, learning to ride the transit system, accessing local recreational opportunities.

One cannot be part of their community if they are unable to access it and play an active role.

As a CE Coach for Clallam Mosaic your number one goal is to encourage engagement, inclusion & self-sufficiency in our clients. You are the “front line” and visible face of our programs. Many of the situations you encounter are challenging and unique.

Things a Community Engagement provider might do:

A Community Engagement provider may:
• Meet to discuss goals related to engaging with the community.
• Help find and get a new place to live, set up utilities or communicate with a landlord.
• Help sign up for, attend or participate in local groups (social groups, senior centers, church or community college) or public community resources (the library, post office or public transportation).
• Help participate in community activities like going to the mall, movie theater, restaurant or park to learn skills naturally through experience.
• Find other strategies to connect with community resources, based on interests and needs.
• Support by finding community activities within budget.

Part Time

The Activities Lead must have a willingness to learn and work in a multi-changing environment. Have experience working with individuals of all abilities in a variety of classes to encourage growth and experiences.

As Activities Lead for Clallam Mosaic your number one goal is to encourage engagement, inclusion & self-sufficiency in our clients. You are the “front line” and visible face of our programs. Many of the situations you encounter are challenging and unique.

The Activities Lead will help lead classes for participants of Clallam Mosaic. They will also:

• Help create curriculum.
• Provide a safe and flourishing environment for all to learn and grow.
• Setup and cleanup classes and activities.
• Help with events such as after hours and dances- some weekends will be required.
• Provide equity for all participants.
• Community excursions are part of being in a community so this will be both on foot as well as by transit.

Make an impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, their families, and caregivers by volunteering with us!
